IT Systems Management - Infrastructure Management
With
all the talk about Business Service Management in the media it's easy to
forget that successful BSM implementations depend on a well-instrumented
infrastructure that can supply relevant information about critical
performance, availability and throughput issues, as well as a tight
interaction with overarching configuration and change processes.
BMC Performance Manager
BMC Performance Manager monitors the base infrastructure,
including servers, databases, applications and networks using a choice of
agent based or agentless monitoring technologies. System events are
reported to a central web based console, sent to the relevant support
staff or integrated into the Service Impact Manager to allow true service modelling
to be completed. BMC Performance Manager also interfaces with the
CMDB to ensure that changes to the infrastructure are reflected in the
service models.
BMC enables you to significantly improve IT performance and
availability by:
- Using one common management method to proactively optimise your IT
infrastructure throughout the lifecycle of your enterprise
applications
- Implementing consistent methodology and automation of repetitive,
complex and error-prone tasks
- Controlling all aspects of enterprise data management with a common
toolset across mainframe, distributed and desktop environments
- Provides a direct path to Business Service Management by enabling
you to proactively manage and control all enterprise applications and
underlying IT infrastructure components from a business service
perspective
KTSL's experienced infrastructure management team will be pleased to
discuss your requirements with you. Please contact us for more
information.
